With our DIY 3D printers, create your own three-dimensional object using free software from home, like TinkerCAD, SketchUp, or Blender; or any ready-made files with Thingiverse. Files must be .stl or .obj types.

Before your visit, make a reservation, view our Printing Guidelines, and learn more about slicing software Cura and/or Flashprint . Each individual software is free to download and install from home; includes technology to estimate gram filament weight and time estimate for your print.

Also consider having us print your creation with one of our staff-use 3D printers.

There is fee of 6 cents per gram of filament used.

Become the artist within and create with computer workstations featuring both desktop PCs and iMacs with Wacom Intuos Pro tablets or Wacom One tablets in addition to the Adobe Creative Suite. Review the County Library’s Computer Access and Internet Use Policy and remember to bring your own SD card or USB storage to save your creations.

Large format thermal lamination is available at the Daybreak and Kearns Create Space. Large format printing is available at Daybreak, Granite, Hunter, Kearns and Sandy.

Design, cut, and engrave your own materials with our 40 watt CO2 Laser Cutter. Glowforge Plus can be used with staff assistance to provide correct and accurate machine usage. You must provide your own materials. Proofgrade materials are preferred. All materials and designs and subject to staff approval. Unacceptable materials include: stained woods, MDF, draft board, vinyl, plastic, polycarbonate/LEXAN, fiberglass, PVC or pleather. For projects using foam, vinyl, fabric, cardboard or paper, we recommend using the Cricut Maker.

The Glowforge Plus bed can accommodate materials measuring 12” x 20.4” with a maximum printable area of approximately 11” (279mm) deep and 19.5” (495mm) wide. A tray for materials is provided that is sized up to 0.5” thick, this tray is removable to accommodate materials up to 2” (50mm) thick.

Glowforge is compatible with JPG, PNG, SVG, PDF and other file formats. Glowforge Premium App may also be used to create simple designs and lettering. Creations using compatible files with softwares such as Adobe Illustrator , Inkscape , and Adobe Photoshop can also be used.

A maintenance and filter fee of 10 cents per minute or $6 per hour spent engraving

Create with Cricut Design Space using your own materials with unlimited use of 30,000+ images, 1,000 projects, and 370 fonts. Vinyl, paper, fabric and Cricut approved materials can be cut and engraved for your project. You may also upload your own designs with .svg, .dxf, .bmp, .jpg, .png, and .gif file types. We provide the following machines and accessories, which may vary by location. You provide your own materials.

Sew, embroider and design, with Create Textiles and Craft services. Unique equipment can be found in various locations; become familiar with the machines and software before you begin your project. For use of our sewing or embroidery machines, please bring your own thread.

The Create Textiles and Crafts Space at Daybreak is equipped with sublimation printing and heat transferring. You may create your own designs using our Create Space workstations or bring your print-ready designs on a USB storage drive sized no larger than 11” x 17” and saved as a JPG or PNG file format.
