The County Library has proudly hosted author events and meet and greets for decades, personally introducing Salt Lake County residents to some of their favorite writers like Craig Johnson, Jennifer A. Nielsen, Temple Grandin, Ben Guterson, Alma Katsu, Samantha Hastings, Amy Makechnie, and more.

Meet New York Times bestselling author Tommy Orange, who will read from his new book Wandering Stars, answer audience questions, and sign books.
Orange, a Native American writer and member of the Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes in Oklahoma, was born and raised in Oakland, California. He holds a Master of Fine Arts from the Institute of American Indian Arts. His first novel, There There, was a finalist for the 2019 Pulitzer Prize and received the 2019 American Book Award.
