Presented by The King’s English Bookshop

Meet local author Emily Inouye Huey, who will read a portion of her debut YA historical fiction novel Beneath the Wide Silk Sky, answer audience questions, and sign books.

Huey is a former teacher and holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Lesley University. Her debut novel draws inspiration from her own family history to paint a portrait of the lead-up to Japanese incarceration, racism on the World War II homefront, and the relationship between patriotism and protest.
