Face Mask Sewing Project
The Salt Lake County Sewing Project – We have the space; you have the skills!
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and in partnership with Stitching Hearts Worldwide, Salt Lake County has set up a sewing center where volunteers can come to sew face masks at the County Library’s Viridian Event Center.
The Salt Lake County Sewing Center is setup with the equipment needed to produce high-quality masks. We invite you into this space to share your skill set and help fulfill a critical community need. Come as an individual, or a group! We have eight sewing machines, two serger machines, ironing, and a variety of different tasks that need be filled to make our assembly line approach successful.
Our goal is to produce 250,000 masks to meet the growing need from our community, which includes front-line public servants, non-profits, public safety and businesses. Please spread the word, spread the love and make a mask to stop the spread of COVID-19.
