Earth Fest at the County Library

Celebrate our awesome planet with fun take and make crafts, citizen science, nature exploration, and recycling activities that raise awareness and support our environment and community.

Kits are free while supplies last. Activities may vary by branch. Search for "Earth Fest"  at thecountylibrary.org/events or ask a librarian for more information.

Earth Day Take and Make Kits: Fun, educational take-home kits teach earth, biological, and environmental science and let kids express themselves. Kits vary by branch, but may include sidewalk chalk, seed packets, recycled art materials, do-it-yourself bird feeders, books, games, and more. Check our calendar for more info: thecountylibrary.org/events. Available at all County Library branches April 19-30.

City Nature Challenge: In partnership with the Natural History Museum of Utah. Connect globally and explore nature on the trails, in the mountains, or in your backyard as you discover that nature is all around you with City Nature Challenge: The Wasatch. Take and make activities help you attract wildlife and examine our community's ecosystem and are free while supplies last. Kits may vary by branch. Available at our Herriman, Holladay, Kearns, Magna, Millcreek, Taylorsville, Whitmore, Sandy, South Jordan, and Draper Branches April 26-30.

Natural History Museum of Utah: Citizen Science Kit: In partnership with the Natural History Museum of Utah. Develop a keen eye for observation and a passion for nature as you become a Citizen Scientist! Citizen Science Kits make exploring and recording Utah's biodiversity fun and educational. Study from afar or in your own backyard! Kits are free while supplies last. One kit per family. Search for "Citizen Science" at thecountylibrary.org/events or ask a librarian for more information.
