Saint-Saens: Symphony No. 3 "Organ"

May Spectacular. American West Symphony will celebrate their 25th anniversary with concerts at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sandy on May 10 at 8:00 and at Libby Gardner Hall at the University of Utah on May 13 & 14 at 7:30. The Sandy performance will highlight Saint-Saens' Symphony No. 3 and, along with The American West Symphony Chorus, Mozart's Ave Verum Corpus and Vivaldi's In Excelsis Deo. Both locations will feature performances of several additional selections including Caccini Ave Maria for Viola and Orchestra, Verdi Overture to "Nabucco", Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 3.

Essential Brahms

Dvorak & Brahms. The conclusion to the Utah Symphony's 2012-13 season features conductor Vladimir Kulenovic and violinist Augustin Hadelich. Highlights include performances of Brahms Symphony No. 2 and Dvorak's Slavonic Dances and Concerto in A Minor. Performances will be May 24-25th at Abravanel Hall.
