Alabama Shakes kick off August with a much anticipated show at Red Butte Garden on the 4th. The group is touring in support of their second album Sound & Color. Their debut album Boys & Girls received 3 Grammy nominations in 2013 and their new album debuted on top of the Billboard charts. The Twilight Concert Series is in full swing at Pioneer Park. The Word will be playing at the park on August 13. The Word is a primarily instrumental group that combines the talents of pedal steel guitarist Robert Randolph, keyboardist John Medeski, and the roots-rock group North Mississippi Allstars. Singer Diana Krall will be appearing in Park City on August 14 as part of the Deer Valley Music Festival. The singer will be performing an evening of jazz standards and pop classics with the Utah Symphony. Krall's latest album Wallflower features her take on pop nuggets like "California Dreamin'," "Desperado," and "I'm Not in Love."

Guitarist Joe Bonamassa brings his blues-rockin' show to USANA Amphitheatre on August 20. Joe's latest album Muddy Wolf at Red Rocks is a live celebration of the music of Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf. Expect a night of red hot blues with this talented guitarist. Comedy legend "Weird Al" Yankovic will be bringing The Mandatory World Tour to the Sandy Amphitheater on August 24. His latest album Mandatory Fun became the first comedy album in over fifty years to top the Billboard album chart. His newest song parodies include "Tacky," "Handy," and "Word Crimes."
