Dvorak: Symphony No. 7; In Nature's Realm

The Utah Symphony is having a number of performances throughout November. On November 7-8 Guest Conductor, Ilan Volkov will lead the Symphony in Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra. On November 14-15 Thierry Fischer returns to conduct Mahler's Symphony No. 2 and on November 21-22 he will lead the Symphony in a performance of Dvorak's Symphony No. 7. Finally, on November 29-30 the Utah Symphony Chorus will join the Symphony for Messiah Sing-In. All performances will take place at 8 pm at Abravanel Hall. Ballet West begins its 2014-2015 season with Giselle. Reimagined by Adam Sklute, Giselle is the ghostly story of a prince and the peasant girl who loves him and faces the ultimate betrayal. Performances will take place from November 9-16. Also, in December Ballet West returns with a holiday series of The Nutcracker. Join Clara and other beloved characters in the 59th edition of the critically acclaimed holiday classic. Performances will run from December 5-31.
