Grand opening of the new Herriman Library

WHY:

Salt Lake County Library Services is very proud to announce the grand opening of the new Herriman Library, located at 5440 West Main St. in Herriman. The event will include a ribbon cutting at 10:00 a.m with Library Director James Cooper, Mayor Peter Corroon and Mayor Joshua Mills, as well as County Council and Library Board representatives. The festivities will then begin with activities for children, entertainment, giveaways and prizes, and a special performance by the Emmy Award-winning band Red Rock Rondo and national bestselling author Ted Gup. The new state-of-the-art building includes stunning artwork commissioned for the Library, and is on track to be LEED certified Platinum by the internationally recognized green building certification system.
