  • The Viridian Event Center is a multi-use event space with endless event potential. The Center is designed to accommodate events produced by the Salt Lake County Library Services, Salt Lake County, local government entities and organizations and as a rentable resource for local events. It brings a whole new world of possibilities ranging from author presentations, music and concerts, movies, festivals, fairs, meetings, school dances, fundraising galas, weddings, receptions and more.
  • A large multipurpose room of 7,100 sq. ft. can be sub-divided into two or three sections.
  • The building lobby functions as a pre-event space.
  • An outdoor amphitheater can be connected to the indoor multipurpose room.
  • A catering kitchen and easily accessible loading dock are available behind the scenes.
  • You can find more about upcoming events, rental rates and availability at the Viridian website.

    7:30 PM to 9:30 PM - Viridian A: This monthly workshop is presented by the Rockhounders Outreach for Community Knowledge (R.O.C.K.), and features a lecture and presentation given by a new speaker each month. R.O.C.K. was founded by individuals fascinated by the beauty and history of our earth in 2011. As an educational organization we are dedicated to the advancement of fossil, rock, and mineral collecting, and related lapidary arts. New members and guests are always welcome. Monthly meetings are fun and informative with great guest speakers, displays, demonstrations, silent auctions, door prizes, and refreshments.     7:00 PM to 8:30 PM - Viridian Lobby: A short Gallery Stroll between the Schorr Gallery in the West Jordan City Hall (3rd floor), 8000 South Redwood Road and the Viridian Building foyer, 8030 South 1825 West Redwood Road, will be held on Friday, July 8 at 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 pm. Photographers Jon Brouhuis and Mark Marzolf will be at the Viridian to show and discuss their work and artists Elise Ostraff, David Raleigh and Rebecca Klundt will be at the Schorr Gallery to talk about their work in the 'Speaking Visually' show. The public is invited. There is no charge and light refreshments will be served.
