  • The Viridian Event Center is a multi-use event space with endless event potential. The Center is designed to accommodate events produced by the Salt Lake County Library Services, Salt Lake County, local government entities and organizations and as a rentable resource for local events. It brings a whole new world of possibilities ranging from author presentations, music and concerts, movies, festivals, fairs, meetings, school dances, fundraising galas, weddings, receptions and more.
  • A large multipurpose room of 7,100 sq. ft. can be sub-divided into two or three sections.
  • The building lobby functions as a pre-event space.
  • An outdoor amphitheater can be connected to the indoor multipurpose room.
  • A catering kitchen and easily accessible loading dock are available behind the scenes.

  • Come learn, relax, play and be inspired at the Viridian.

  2. ToshoCON: Teen Anime Convention @ Viridian 8/1/2015

    5:00 PM to 10:00 PM - Viridian Event Center: Teens who enjoy anime, manga and cosplay will love ToshoCON, the library’s annual anime convention just for teens. This exciting, free event will be happening Friday July 31st and Saturday August 1 at the Viridian Event Center (8030 South 1825 West). All teens ages 12-19 are welcome. There will be panel discussions, hands-on crafts and activities, an art display, demonstrations, movie screenings, vendors and more. There will also be a costume contest – so get creative and wear your best Anime outfit.

The Evening In Brazil ensemble made its debut to the Bossa Nova movement in 2009. This group draws its inspiration from and pays tribute to the compositions of Carlos Lira, Ronaldo Boscoli, Gilberto Gil and the Grammy Award-winning Brazilian musician Antônio Carlos Jobim.
